Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a natural substance produced by our own immune system. It is generated in white blood cells and helps the body destroy bacteria, viruses, moulds, and other pathogens. Our disinfectant products harness this substance in a stabilised form – as modern, gentle, and highly effective antiseptics.

How HOCl works

It acts through an osmotic effect and the disruption of the microorganism's envelope: it dehydrates the cellular structures of pathogens, disrupts their cell wall or envelope, and thereby destroys them effectively. Salt ions support this process while remaining entirely neutral and gentle to the cells of the human and animal body – with no irritating effects and no tissue damage.
